I've enjoyed writing my whole life, and I've dabbled with blogging before. Feel free to check out the follow (in order) to see my evolution as a blogger from my pre-teens to late-teens.

Notice how none of these actually had my own domain. I was perusing my writing drafts on my desktop today, and I found a lot of unpublished works - poems, essays, short reflections. I realized I never got around to posting them to any of the above blogs. Perhaps they didn't fit the theme of "Vice and Other Advice" or "Nikita365 (whatever that was supposed to be..?)". They were just thoughts, and frankly none of my blogs were as organized as I wished for them to be. I muddied the difference between "labels" and "pages" on Blogspot, and I accidentally created a whole publication on Medium (which surprisingly has a few followers) with a whopping 1.5 articles. So, my blogging has been sporadic to say the least.
Today, amidst being at home for quarantine, I decided to attempt a clean slate. I'd make a whole new blog, use labels and pages correctly this time, and then perhaps import over my favorite pieces to my Medium publication. In a few clicks of a button, I was on my way to create Noted by Niki (I came up with the name a few years ago). Google with its sly ads asked if I wanted to go ahead and add a custom domain to my blog. I paused. We're in our twenties now. I can afford this. Why haven't I bought a custom domain yet? And then here we are. Notedbyniki.com. A long time comin', and now we're here.
